Blogging Traffic
So you've found something you're passionate about, written a blog, gotten a few affiliate and adsense programs going, and are sitting and waiting for your check to roll in. Unfortunately, it's not quite that easy, not only do you have to set up your blog, get advertisers and affiliates, but you also must have traffic to your blog. In today's world, blogs and blogging reports are a dime a dozen, you need yours to stand out, be read, get lots of traffic so you can make money.
There are plenty of ways to drive traffic to your blogspot or your blog page. It takes work, of course, there really isn't anything for free in this world, and if you want to make money via your blogging, you're going to have to sit down at your computer and work.
There are plenty of websites out there that will allow you to link your blogspot in order to drive business in traffic. If you pick a good business site, whether its merchandise for sale, information, or a directory, and they're getting traffic, linking to that site or that directory can help drive traffic to your blog.
Another place to use your head and writing skills is within different forums. Most forms allow you to have a signature and a link at the bottom of your post. Find forms that are pertinent to what you're writing about, something that you're passionate about, or something you're interested in and begin making posts or comments. The more posts and comments you make, the more people see your link to your blogspot, the more people visit your site.
You may also want to post a visitors notebook on your blog and encourage participation in your blog, comments, or responses to your blog, another great way to drive traffic.
Don't forget, many people like to see what's happening in your world, they find it interesting, they enjoyed reading your writing, and want to return. This means that you're going to have to make it easy for them to bookmark your site. This means repeat visitors, more visitors equals more money.
No matter how you decide to link your blog spot, and whether it's to affiliate sites, directories, forums, or other media, it's important that you don't sound like you're just trying to drive traffic. Your comments and your posts in any of these areas need to be informative, entertaining, and worthy of being in the forum or on the site itself. Those people who post "come read my blog ", don't get much traffic. You need to make sure that any comments you make are going to leave people with a good feeling about your name and your blogging.
Remember, while you're blogging to make money, you need to make sure that it all makes sense and is interesting to read no matter posting.
